The Best Gift Ever

This Christmas we got the best gift of all...our little Emily Elizabeth Monk. She came into this world on December 21st at 7:20am. She weighed only 6lbs 5oz and was 19 inches long. Emily was delivered Cesarean, so she didn't go through the trauma of the birth canal and from the moment she was born she looked absolutely perfect!


Every day she gets cuter and more alert. It's been so much fun to watch her grow over the past three weeks, and I can only imagine how much she's going to change throughout the year. Steve and I have absolutely loved being parents. Emily has been such a blessing in our lives and has brought the sweetest spirit straight from heaven into our home.


Steve has been the best daddy ever. He's changed more diapers than me for sure! He even stayed in the hospital with me, and slept on a very uncomfortably small bed. He never left my side except to go get his regular Taco Bell lunch. I'm so grateful to have him in my life.
