Our Easter

Saturday night, coloring easter eggs. Emily had such a blast!

Camden was a bit of a handful, but we got through it! And our eggs turned out pretty cute...

We woke up Easter morning to Emily in our room with her basket squealing "THE EASTER BUNNY CAME AND BROUGHT ME LITTLE BIRDS!!" she had been wanting pink marshmallow peeps forever, but we never bought any because I told her that maybe if she was good the Easter bunny would bring her some...she must've been pretty good!

Camden checking out his goodies!

Emily with her pink peeps! They were "so delicious" she informed me.

Along with peeps, the Easter bunny also put "snugimals" (cute little stuffed animals that move) in their baskets. They have both wanted them for a long time, one of their friends have one and they always fought over it. So thank you for helping us keep the peace Easter bunny!

After checking out the Easter baskets, it was time for Easter eggs, but there weren't any in the house and when Steve asked Emily where they were she said "We have to follow the jelly beans!" The easter bunny had left a trail of jelly beans leading to the back door where there were tons of Easter eggs waiting for us in the back yard!

Camden's favorite part of the Easter egg hunt was the CHOCOLATE!
He had tons of fun finding eggs and candy and dropping them in his cute Easter basket. (the kids got the CUTEST easter baskets from Grandma Monk-Thanks Grandma!)

Even though it was below freezing at 7am, the kids didn't seem to mind...but we did struggle peeling our eggs and eating them when we got inside-they froze!

Then it was off to church to worship our savior, take the sacrament, and remember why we celebrate Easter: the miracle of Jesus Christ's resurrection.

After church we headed to Grandma Monk's house for dinner and another easter egg hunt!! The weather by then was sunny and warm, and we got to play and eat icecream outside.

What a wonderful Easter we had, one that we will never forget! Partly because we added a new member to our family on Easter....our new puppy!

So this is hilarious! I just realized looking at your photos that Emily and Parker had the exact same Easter dress! I never saw Emily at church so I didn't know. Sooooo funny!
