One Brave Little Girl!

Emily is turning into quite a brave little thing. For starters, her new favorite animals are snakes. She LOVES them. She and Steve would go atleast once a week to the pet store to look at them. Well, last friday Steve came home from hunting with a Mcdonald's bag in his hand and said "Ems I have a surprise for you!" She ran into the kitchen to meet him, opened the bag and squealed "A SNAKE!!! She was beyond thrilled. She ran out to the garage, grabbed her bug box full of ladybugs (her second favorite critter) and dumped them out to make room for her snake. She had Steve had fun setting up an aquarium for him, making his house and a little swimming pool. At first I was adamant that the snake stay outside, but after seeing how excited she was and how much fun she was having with her dad I couldn't say no, so that snake is sitting on her night stand ( with a lid that is securely fastened with aquarium clips). He is a green racer, and at first she named him Pascal. Then she named him Emily the next day, but over the past few days his name has been Jesse. I think this name has stuck, but we'll see.

So another example of Emily's bravery was when we went to Lagoon last Saturday. Wynn and Nancy took us all and we had the best time, but I don't know if anyone had more fun than Ems. She'd never really been on rides before besides a carousel and a kiddie size ferris wheel. But oh my goodness, she is a daredevil. We started out easy on the babyish rides, and by the end of the day she was going on rides that made my stomach turn. She never once cried, she only laughed and squealed and smiled. Seeing her so excited just made my day. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for the super fun day!!

Emily used to be scared of witches, but after meeting these pretty and nice witches she's okay with them, she thought they were beautiful like princesses, and it didn't hurt that they gave her candy!

(This one shoots you straight up and then straight down several times, it was her favorite! Would've made me puke I think)

Camden had fun going on rides with Emily, give him anything with a steering wheel and Camden's a happy boy!
